Why Starting A Logo Design Contest is Beneficial for Your Company

Logo designers are available largely at design contest platforms where they give companies excellent logo designs at a very affordable rate. It is a very popular and effective technique used by many companies and has provided astounding results. Here are just a few reasons why your company should consider hosting an online logo design contest.

1.       Legal Ownership of All Logos
Your logo design is completely legally protected and is yours to keep. Logo designers will get the prize money and will not hold any credibility or rights to the logo design. It’s a win-win for both parties.

2.       Get Excellent Designers for Future Projects
Through logo design contests, companies can also get excellent logo designers for future projects. Some companies even hire qualified designers on a full time basis to work on other design projects for the company. A great place to find talent.

3.       Cost Effective Solution
Logo design contests are cost effective solutions to your company’s logo design needs. You don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on hiring professionals, yet you’ll be able to get amazing logo designs, nothing short of professionals.

All in all, a logo design contest is a win-win solution for everyone. The designers get an updated portfolio and your company gets their logo

3 Reasons to Start a Logo Design Contest

A good logo is crucial for the success of a business in today’s competitive market. The impression created on the client upon viewing your logo can go a long way in a great company-client relationship. Logos can essentially make or break your company

1.       Immediate Access to Numerous Logo Designs
The best part about hosting such events is the plethora of design samples that start coming in from all over within hours of launching the competition. This gives the companies plenty of options to choose form. Examining these samples also broadens their scope of what they do and do not want in their logo and since the event is hosted on the internet, companies simply post updated instructions online for the designers to incorporate into their design samples.

2.   Good Company Exposure
Hosting an online logo design contest also serves as a great way to expose the company to the world enabling visitors, designers and even prospective clients to visit your website to know more about the company.

3.       Great Opportunity for Designers To Show Their Talent
We have all heard the saying, “It’s good to give.” By hosting an online logo design contest, the company gives logo designers the opportunity to showcase their design skills to you and to the world. It also gives them the opportunity to better themselves at their craft and a chance to win cash incentives

Do you Follow Client Instructions?

Many designers think they know more than their client. Wrong! Remember the rule 'the customer is always right' - this holds true here also.

You might be good at what you do and you might know more about the industry but telling the client they are wrong or going against their wishes is an instant path to doom. Do this if you want to lose a client. If you do not do anything that is given in the project brief and ignore the client's wishes, you are likely to lose a client.

You can never know more than the client about his industry and services. Ask questions. Try to understand what your client wants and if you still think that you have a brilliant idea, discuss without sounding offensive. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the client and keep the communication flowing. The client would definitely appreciate you for your professional and communication skills. You will be surprised when he even agrees to what you have to say, but only because you were polite and listened to what he said first. Showing the client a new perspective will work if done right and not rudely.

How to Make Impressive Logos?

Newbie logo designers often think that creating complicated logos will make their logo stand out and earn them the right to greatness; however, this is rarely the case. The whole approach is wrong to begin with. Complicated logo designs are never much appreciated let alone stand out. These stand in contrast to the simple logos which make a bigger impression, believe it or not!

Simplicity is one of the key points of logo designing. Couple this with originality, creativity and analytic skills and you are on your way to being a winner. Sooner or later it will come to you and you will rise up in your career because of your originality and not because you were creating crazy complicated designs.

All fields of graphic designing, be it logo or web design, are an art form that heavily bank on creativity and uniqueness. A logo design that is copied or is not original would not be appreciated and would immediately discredit you as a logo designer. Take out the time to think of original concepts for the logo design and let your creativity flow, instead of blocking it by copy, pasting and then modifying it.
